The New Slavic Vicariate Orthodox Calendar 2025

January 12, 2025

The calendar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate of America 2025 is here. It was published and distributed withing the first days of the year 2025.

As the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate is part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and unites diverse parishes of the Slavic tradition, therefore, it indicates holidays dedicated not only to common Christian Saints, starting from the first centuries of Christianity, and of Ancient Rus’, but also Saints who are especially revered in different Slavic countries as well as in America. The greatest holidays of the Church year, days of remembrance of the dead, multi-day feasts and one-day fasts are also mentioned.

The calendar is illustrated with photographs depicting numerous events in the life of the Vicariate that took place in 2024, including visits of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America to the Vicariate parishes as well as other hierarchs of the Greek Archdiocese, such as His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzos. There are photographs that represent the pilgrimage of His Grace Bishop-Elect Alexander of Nicopolis, the Vicar, to Greece and Mount Athos, as well as his participation in the Second Synaxis of the hierarchs of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the USA. The photographs of the events that happened at our parishes, the contact information of our churches, as well as photographs of the clergy, are also published. The calendar is published in both English and Russian.

The Orthodox calendar of the Slavic Vicariate has been continuously published for the last five years. Its idea and design are by Ivan Belya.
