Release of the Official 2021 Calendar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate
January 3, 2021In the first days of the new year, the official 2021 Calendar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate of America was released.
It contains information about the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate which is a canonical jurisdiction within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Taking into consideration the traditions of various Slavic groups in America the calendar indicates not only the feasts of the common Orthodox Christian saints, but also those of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus’, Serbia, Bulgaria, Czechia, and Slovakia. All the major church holidays, days of commemoration of the dead, and fasting days throughout the year as well as fast-free weeks are included. The calendar features photographs taken at services and events of the Slavic Vicariate in 2020.
