The Vicar of the Slavic Vicariate prayerfully marked his 45th anniversary
March 20, 2026On March 20, the Vicar of the Slavic Vicariate Archimandrite Alexander (Belya), who has been Bishop-elect of Nicopolis, turned 45.
That day, the Vicar led the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at the Cathedral of Saint Matrona in Miami, Florida. He was concelebrated by: Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Olexander Belya, rector of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Brooklyn, New York; Archpriests Ivan Zeykan and Maksim Pliskou, clergy of the Miami cathedral.
At the end of the service, Protopresbyter Alexander read a congratulatory address on behalf of the clergy, monastics, and laity of the Slavic Vicariate.
Archimandrite Alexander was also congratulated by other priests, as well as members of the parish: warden Ivan, his mother Christina, the director of the children’s school Tatiana, nuns, and parishioners. The parish presented him with flowers and an embroidered vestment set.
Archimandrite Alexander thanked everyone for their love, attention, kind words, and prayerful wishes.
