На праздник Трех Святителей викарий молитвенно отметил 15-летие хиротонии

On the Feast of the Three Holy Hierarchs, the Vicar prayerfully marked the 15th anniversary of his ordination

February 12, 2026

On February 12, the day of the Synaxis of the Three Ecumenical Teachers and Hierarchs—Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom—the Vicar of the Slavic Vicariate  Archimandrite Alexander, Bishop elect of Niсopolis, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Matrona Cathedral in Miami, Florida.

Assisting the Vicar at the Divine Liturgy were: the rector of St. John of Shanghai Church in Jacksonville, Florida, Archpriest Ivan Voloshchuk, and a cleric of the Miami cathedral Archpriest Ivan Zeikan.

At the conclusion of the service, Archimandrite Alexander thanked the clergy and parishioners for their shared prayer. Congratulating everyone on the Feast of the Three Hierarchs, the Vicar expressed the wish that the example of these great Fathers of the Church would inspire each person to lead a pure and zealous life in Christ, showing mercy and care for their neighbors.

This feast day and the day that follows are especially significant for Archimandrite Alexander. Fifteen years ago, on February 12, 2011, Archbishop Simeon of Brno and Olomouc (Jakovlevič; †2024)—under whom Fr. Alexander had served as personal secretary for eight years—ordained Alexander Belya as a deacon in the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos Monastery in Vilemov. The following day, February 13, in St. Wenceslaus Cathedral in Brno, he was ordained to the priesthood; on the same day, he received monastic tonsure in honor of the Hieromartyr Alexander of Jerusalem.

The Vicar received congratulations from Archpriest Ivan Voloshchuk, warden Ivan, the head of the children’s school Tatiana, and the parishioners.

The celebration concluded with the solemn singing of Many Years.
