Archimandrite Alexander, Vicar of the Slavic Vicariate, prayerfully celebrated the day of the heavenly patron saint

On December 25, Archimandrite Alexander (Belya), Vicar of the Slavic Vicariate and rector of St. Matrona Cathedral in Miami, elected Bishop of Nicopolis, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church.

On this day, according to the Julian calendar, the memory of the holy martyr Alexander of Jerusalem, St. Spyridon of Trimythous, and St. Herman of Alaska is celebrated. In some Churches, the Synaxis of American Saints is celebrated. For the parish of the Miami Cathedral, this day is historic—14 years ago, the first service was held in the first church of St. Matrona.
