The Release of the New 2022 Orthodox Calendar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate

January 10, 2022

The 2022 Calendar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate of America was published in the first days of the new year.

It lists all the Orthodox Church feast days, as well as those for the commemoration of the dead, and the fasts throughout the year.  This year’s edition features photographs of the Apostolic visit of His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew to America in 2021, the Archpastoral visit of Archbishop Elpidophoros to St. John the Forerunner Cathedral in Brooklyn, NY, as well as other events in the life of all parishes of the Vicariate, including those of the Cathedral of St. Matrona of Moscow in Miami and the Monastery of St. Nicholas in Fort Myers, Fl.  Included as well is the recent meeting of the Assembly of Canonical Bishops, which is led by Archbishop Elpidophoros.

The Slavic Orthodox Vicariate is a canonical jurisdiction within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.  It unites parishes of the Slavic Orthodox Christian tradition in the United States.  The calendar includes days of commemoration of saints especially revered in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Czechia, and Slovakia.

The 2022 edition of the Calendar of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate, published for the second year,  was designed and produced by Ivan Belya.

The calendar can be purchased from the office of the Slavic Orthodox Vicariate located at 113 S. Federal Highway, Dania Beach, FL 33004.
